CJ Comu Flyer Regarding Debt<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cruel irony of the CJ Comu flyer regarding debt\nis that CJ Comu is the one who can\u2019t manage his financial affairs\u2026. Not the\nTown of Addison. The Town has the highest credit ratings awarded by both\nS&P and Moody\u2019s rating agencies. These coveted credit ratings are something\nonly 10 cities in Texas have reached. Do a web search using Comu Bankruptcy and\nyou\u2019ll find the ugly truth. Mr. Comu filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy almost a decade\nago, was denied his discharge because he lied numerous times under oath about\nhis assets to the Bankruptcy Court. At present Mr. Comu is on the hook for over\n6 million dollars. This may be why he doesn\u2019t share his home address on any of\nhis campaign material. Do a search for Comu as an owner on the Dallas Central\nAppraisal District and you will find nothing. Do a search at the address in\nwhich he currently resides, and you will find that Continental Partnership Inc\nis the owner of 14873 Oaks North Place, Dallas, TX 75254-7634. This is the same\naddress with the CJ Comu for Addison City Council billboard in Oaks North.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flyer poses questions such as, \u201cDO YOU KNOW\nWHERE $41,000,000+ WENT?\u201d and \u201c\u201cDO YOU KNOW WHO GOT THE $41,000,000+?\u201d as if\nthe amount stated has been spent and has been given away to individuals. He\nalso includes statements such as, \u201cWITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE\u201d and \u201cWHY IS ADDISON\nSLIDING DOWN THE DRAIN\u201d. The truth is if CJ or any serious candidate would\nattend City Council meetings or simply watch them (live or replay on the Town\nwebsite) he\/she would know that nothing approved by City Council is hidden.\nAnyone can watch City Council meetings and keep up with the business of the\nTown. Many residents subscribe to the Weekly Update from the Town of Addison.\nThe residents who do keep up realize that we are now in a redevelopment phase and\nplans are in place to reconstruct an aging Midway Road, build a U.S. Customs\nand Border Protection facility, replace the fire truck dedicated to airport\nemergencies, build out more water and wastewater projects and pay for the infrastructure\nat the new Addison Groves development. We can pay for major capital\nexpenditures over the life of the asset with debt or try to start saving for\nthem quickly with a significant tax increase. In the case of a significant tax\nhike voters would need to approve that before proceeding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CJ\u2019s flyer further states, I WANT ANSWERS AND I WANT\nTO KNOW WHY ADDISON IS GETTING DEEPER IN DEBT\u201d in all caps as if he is yelling.\nCJ should focus his energy on trying to repair his credit and starting a debt\nrepayment plan rather than asking voters to \u201cELECT CJ COMU TO FIND OUT WHAT\u2019S\nGOING ON\u201d. If CJ truly wants to find out \u201cWHAT\u2019S GOING ON\u201d he needs to take an\nactive role by learning about our Town and how a municipality functions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The truth is that we have a great Town, that is\nfiscally responsible, with the highest credit ratings and we are not the one as\nCJ puts it that is \u201cSLIDING DOWN THE DRAIN\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
